Performance Insights

What it does​

Performance Insights is a dashboard (nothing to save). It shows a 0–100 setup score, a homepage page scan, an optional browser load estimate, competing-cache warnings, and Divi Engine plugin detection for Page Cache protections.

Neither score is Google PageSpeed Insights. The browser estimate is Nitro’s own iframe probe of the homepage (TTFB, DOM ready, full load, transfer size, resource count).

Where to find it​

Divi Engine → Nitro Settings → Performance Insights (default section when you open Nitro Settings)

Setup score​

Weighted checklist of Nitro toggles. Suggestions link to the matching settings section. Typical checks include Smart Images, Background Images, Delay JS, Async CSS, WordPress Cleanup, Minify queues, Browser Caching, Page Cache, Speculative Loading, and Database Cleanup.

When another HTML cache plugin is active, Insights tells you to leave Nitro Page Cache off.

Page scan​

Fetches homepage HTML (auto on load; Rescan page to run again). Checks include:

  • HTML document size
  • Total CSS weight and Divi / et-cache CSS
  • Duplicate inline CSS and inline style count
  • Image count, large images, missing dimensions
  • Lazy loading (Smart / Classic)
  • External scripts, Google Fonts requests, heavy iframes
  • Speculative loading, database clutter, minified CSS/JS
  • Page Cache enabled and X-Nitro-Cache header

Browser load estimate​

Optional homepage probe in a hidden iframe. Use it as a rough before/after when you change settings — not as a substitute for PageSpeed or CrUX.

tip

If Insights warns that another page cache is active, leave Nitro Page Cache off or disable the other HTML cache first. See Working with other performance plugins.
