Overview

Divi Handoff lets you design page layouts in Divi Builder, then fill them with content using simple forms (ACF/SCF Fields). Instead of editing pages in the Divi Builder every time, you create the design once and let content editors add text, images, and other content through easy-to-use fields.

The Problem​

You've built a beautiful website for your client in Divi. They're happy, you're happy. You give them access to edit text and images. A month later, you check back and the site is a mess. Your client has accidentally broken the design because they don't really know how to use Divi Builder.

Or maybe your client isn't technical at all. You tried teaching them WordPress, and that was hard enough. Now you need to teach them Divi Builder? That's going to be painful for everyone.

The Solution​

Divi Handoff solves this problem. You build the site in Divi Builder and give your client access to ACF (or SCF) fields only. They can't mess up the design you so carefully created. Instead, they get:

  • Simple forms to fill in — Just text boxes, image uploads, and dropdowns
  • Flexibility to create pages — They can choose from premade sections you've designed and arrange them however they want
  • Control over what they can edit — You decide what they can change (text, images, colors, etc.) and what stays locked

No more coming back to find your beautiful creation destroyed. Your design stays safe while your clients can still update content easily.

  • Design once, use many times — Build a beautiful layout in Divi Builder, then reuse it on multiple pages with different content

  • Create flexible pages — Let editors choose which sections to add to each page and arrange them however they want

Here's how it works: You design layouts in Divi Builder and connect them to content fields. When someone adds content to those fields, Divi Handoff automatically puts that content into your designed layout.

  • Connect fields to layouts — Link content fields (like title, description, image) to your Divi layouts so content appears automatically
  • Multiple layout options — Create different visual styles for the same type of content, letting editors pick which style they prefer
  • Easy content editing — Use special Handoff modules that automatically pull content from fields, so you don't have to set it up manually each time
  • Show or hide content — Display certain sections only when needed (like showing a "Featured" badge only when that option is checked)
  • Change backgrounds — Set section or module backgrounds using images or colors from your content fields

How It Works​

Divi Handoff works in three simple steps:

1. Create Your Content Fields​

Set up fields in SCF or ACF Pro where editors will enter content. Think of these as forms with boxes for title, description, image, and other content. You can create different types of content blocks (like a Hero section, Team Member card, or Testimonial).

2. Design Your Layouts​

Build your page designs in Divi Builder using Divi Handoff Layouts. These are special templates where you connect your design to the content fields you created. When content is added to those fields, it automatically appears in your design.

3. Build Pages​

On any page, editors can add content blocks and fill in the fields. When you enable Divi Handoff on that page, it automatically displays the content using your designed layout.

Try the Demo​

Divi Handoff includes sample content you can import to see how everything works. This creates example fields, layouts, and a demo page so you can explore the plugin before building your own.
