What is Divi Machine Accounts​

Divi Machine Accounts adds a front-end account area to a Divi Machine site. Visitors can log in, register, and open pages you design in the Visual Builder. The same plugin stores saved lists and dislike lists, such as a wishlist, on the logged-in user.

On Divi 5, the account area can also show notifications, a profile, messages, and search alerts. Those features stay off until you turn each one on. Profile stays available.

The account area is a set of Account posts. Activation creates Navigation, Dashboard, Login, Notifications, Profile, Messages, and Search Alerts. You assign navigation, dashboard, and login in Layout settings. The other posts appear in account navigation only when that feature is turned on.

Divi 5 first​

On a Divi 5 site, the modules open in the Visual Builder folder Divi Machine Accounts. Builder labels start with Acc, for example Acc Login Form. On Divi 4, Acc Login Form, Acc Register Form, Acc Navigation, and Acc Wishlist Icon open in the Divi Machine group in the Classic Builder. Notifications, the user icon, profile, messages, and search alerts are Divi 5 modules.

When Divi 5 is enabled, the plugin upgrades its stock account layouts to Divi 5 blocks. Existing module settings are converted when a Divi 4 layout is opened in the Divi 5 Visual Builder. There is no separate Accounts migration tool to run.

What you can build​

  • A login and registration page, with new members on the Account User role.
  • An account menu for the dashboard and any extra account pages you publish.
  • Saved lists and dislike lists, with an icon inside a loop.
  • An on-site notifications list, an optional email, and a header user icon with the unread count.
  • A profile members can edit, and a public profile on a listing or author page.
  • Messages between a member and a listing owner, or between members, with an inbox in the account area.
  • Search alerts: a member saves the current Ajax Filter search and gets an email and an on-site notification when new listings match.

Compatibility​

  • Divi: Latest Divi 5 or Divi 4
  • WordPress: Current stable version
  • Divi Machine: Required for account loops, saved lists, and most account features
  • Divi Ajax Filter: Required for search alerts, so the current filters can be saved and matched later. Divi Machine includes Ajax Filter.

Divi Machine Accounts can be installed on its own, but account loops and saved-list queries need Divi Machine.

Getting started​

  1. Install and activate Divi Machine Accounts.
  2. Run quick start: confirm the account slug, the layouts, and the login page.
  3. Configure settings: slug, saved lists, layouts, and the features you want on.
  4. Use the modules: login, register, navigation, and the wishlist icon, then the Divi 5 modules for notifications, profile, messages, and search alerts.
  5. Add custom account pages and, when you need them, a current-user loop or a saved-list loop.
