Feature Overview

Divi Handoff provides six main feature categories to help you display SCF (Secure Custom Fields) or ACF Pro Flexible Content using Divi's visual layout system. This page summarizes all available features and links to detailed documentation.

Layout System​

The layout system is the core of Divi Handoff, connecting your Flexible Content fields to visual Divi designs.

  • Automatic Content Display - Automatically display SCF/ACF Pro Flexible Content sections using your Divi designs. Each Flexible Content section on a page shows using its connected Divi Handoff Layout.

  • Layout Mapping - Connect your Flexible Content layouts to Divi Handoff Layouts. Choose which Divi design displays for each type of Flexible Content section. Learn about layout mapping

  • Multiple Designs Per Content Type - Create multiple Divi Handoff Layouts for the same Flexible Content layout. When adding content to a page, choose which visual design to use for each section—perfect for variations like "Hero Dark" vs "Hero Light."

  • Reusable Divi Handoff Layouts - Build layouts once and reuse them across your entire site. Divi Handoff Layouts are special templates that you design in the Divi Builder and use wherever needed. Create your first layout

Handoff Modules​

Divi Handoff includes four special modules designed specifically for displaying content from your Flexible Content fields.

  • Handoff Text Module - Display text content from your Flexible Content fields. Automatically pulls content from the current section, making it easy to show headings, descriptions, and other text. Text module reference

  • Handoff Image Module - Display images from your Flexible Content image fields. Works with images in any format and includes options for sizing and linking. Image module reference

  • Handoff Video Module - Display videos from your Flexible Content fields. Works with video URLs, embedded content, and includes player controls like autoplay, loop, and muted settings. Video module reference

  • Handoff Repeater Module - Display lists of items from repeater fields. Shows each item in the list with its own content, and can optionally display as a carousel or slider. Repeater module reference

Dynamic Content​

Use content from your Flexible Content fields anywhere in your Divi layouts—not just in Handoff modules.

  • Content from Any Field - Access any Flexible Content field value through Divi's Dynamic Content feature. Works with text, images, URLs, and more.

  • Works with All Divi Modules - Use any standard Divi module (Text, Image, Button, etc.) with Dynamic Content to pull data from your Flexible Content fields. Click the Dynamic Content icon (⚡) and select "SCF / ACF Pro Flexible Content Fields" to see available fields.

  • Dynamic Background Images and Colors - Set module, row, or section backgrounds using content from your Flexible Content fields. If the field contains an image, it shows as a background image; if it contains a color, it applies as a background color.

Conditional Display​

Show or hide modules, rows, columns, or sections based on Flexible Content field values.

  • Show/Hide Based on Field Values - Configure elements to only display when a specific field has a certain value. For example, show a "Featured" badge only when a checkbox is checked.

  • Condition Field and Condition Value Settings - Each Handoff module includes Condition Field and Condition Value settings in the Advanced tab. The module only shows when the specified field matches the value you set.

Page Controls​

Control page-level display settings when Divi Handoff is active.

  • Enable Divi Handoff Per Page - Turn Divi Handoff on or off for individual pages. When enabled, Flexible Content sections display using their connected Divi Handoff Layouts. Page settings reference

  • Show/Hide Sidebar - Control whether the sidebar shows on pages using Divi Handoff layouts.

  • Show/Hide Header - Choose to hide the site header, show it, or follow the global default setting.

  • Show/Hide Footer - Choose to hide the site footer, show it, or follow the global default setting.

  • Show/Hide Page Content - Toggle whether the default page content (regular Divi Builder content) displays alongside Flexible Content layouts.

  • Page Content Position - When showing page content, control where it appears relative to Flexible Content layouts—before, after, or at a specific position.
