Does pagination preserve my active filters?

Question​

When I use pagination (e.g. page 2, page 3) on filtered results — or when results come from the Search Posts module — do my active filters stay applied?

Answer​

Yes. Pagination now correctly preserves all active filters on subsequent pages.

  • Filter types preserved: Categories, tags, ACF fields (select, checkbox, radio), custom taxonomies, price range, and all other filter types remain applied when visitors click to page 2, 3, and so on.
  • Search Posts: When the Archive Loop is used as the results target for the Search Posts module (e.g. in Divi Machine), pagination from the first page of search results keeps your filter state — so filtered results stay filtered across all pages.
  • Reset still works: Using the Filter Posts module reset (or clearing all filters) still clears filter state as expected.
