Settings

Divi Handoff provides three types of settings to give you complete control over how Flexible Content layouts are rendered and displayed.

Settings Types

Page-Level Settings

Control Divi Handoff behavior on individual pages. These settings appear in the Divi Handoff Setting meta box when editing any page or post.

Page-level settings allow you to:

  • Enable or disable Divi Handoff for the current page
  • Show or hide the sidebar
  • Override header and footer visibility
  • Control page content display and position

Layout Mapping Settings

Connect your Divi Handoff Layouts to SCF/ACF Pro Flexible Content layouts. These settings appear in the Divi Handoff Layout Mapping meta box when editing a Divi Handoff Layout.

Layout mapping allows you to:

  • Associate a Divi layout with a specific Flexible Content layout type
  • Create multiple visual variations for the same content structure
  • Organize your layouts for easy selection

Global Settings

Configure plugin-wide defaults and advanced options. Access these from Divi Engine → Divi Handoff in the WordPress admin menu.

Global settings include:

  • Default header and footer visibility
  • Page content display preferences
  • Sidebar position and widget display
  • Layout injection points
  • User role permissions
  • Demo content import

Settings Priority

When the same setting exists at multiple levels, here's how they're applied:

  1. Page-level settings take highest priority when explicitly set
  2. "Use Plugin Setting" option defers to global settings
  3. Global settings provide defaults for all pages

For example, if you set Hide Header to "Show" on a specific page, that page will show the header even if the global setting hides headers.
