Module Conditions
The module conditions settings allow you to control the visibility of elements—such as modules, sections, or rows—based on content accessibility. These settings help tailor the user experience, ensuring that certain elements are only visible where they're most relevant. Here's a detailed guide on configuring each setting. These settings can be found within any module under Advanced > Conditions
.
Hide Element on Permitted Content
This setting allows you to hide specific design elements when content is accessible to all users. It is a useful feature when you have elements intended solely for areas with restricted content. Enabling this option ensures that the element in question is hidden in general access areas and only displayed in restricted areas. This creates a unique experience for different user groups or membership levels and maintains the exclusivity of certain site areas.
Toggle this to YES
to activate this feature. This will automatically hide the element on content that doesn't have access restrictions.
Element Visibility on Restricted Content
This setting controls whether an element is displayed within restricted content areas. It is ideal for showing specific messages, offers, or calls to action that are relevant only to certain user groups or membership levels. By configuring this setting, you ensure that the element is part of the exclusive experience for users with the necessary permissions to access restricted content.
Choose Show
or Hide
from the dropdown to control the visibility of the element on restricted content. Show
will display the element only in restricted areas, while 'Hide' will ensure it remains invisible. Alternatively select Hide with Custom Text which will ensure the content is hidden and replaced with your custom text.
Content Inclusion/Exclusion in Loop (Specific to Loop Modules)
This setting dictates how this module displays restricted content within loop structures, such as the Blog or Archive Loop modules. It determines whether restricted posts are included or excluded from the loop output. By adjusting this setting, you can fine-tune the loop's content to match your site's access policies, either by following the global settings or by setting specific rules for this module.
By default, this is set to Use Global Setting
, which means it will follow your site-wide rules for content restriction within Membership Settings > Content Restriction
. If you want to customize the loop behavior for this module, change the setting to either Include Restricted Posts
or Exclude Restricted Posts
, depending on your requirements.
Changes to these settings can have immediate effects on your live site. It's recommended to preview changes or test in a staging environment before applying them to the live site.
