What is Divi Mega Menu​

Divi Mega Menu turns a WordPress menu item into a large navigation panel. Each mega menu is a Divi layout stored as its own post. You design that layout in the Visual Builder, then assign it to a menu item so it opens on hover or click.

The panel can include any Divi modules, plus Mega Menu modules for nested WordPress menus (Mega Drop-down) and tabbed columns (Mega Tabs).

Why Divi Mega Menu​

Divi 5 first: This site documents Divi 5 first. Divi 4 module how-tos remain under Modules → Divi 4.

Layout-based panels: Build the dropdown as a normal Divi layout instead of a fixed HTML template.

Assignment without CSS classes: On Divi 5, pick the WordPress menu and menu item on the mega menu (or use Appearance → Menus). The CSS class identifier method still works on Divi 4 and as a fallback.

Theme Builder ready: Use a Theme Builder header, or point a mega menu at a Global Canvas so the panel reuses a canvas layout.

Performance options: Output panels with the page (Default) or fetch them after load (Ajax Loaded).

Compatibility​

  • PHP: 8.0 or later recommended

Before you begin​

  • Divi Mega Menu is installed and licensed.
  • You can edit Appearance → Menus.
  • You know whether the header is the default Divi header or a Theme Builder header.
  • You can open a mega menu in the Visual Builder.

Getting started​

  1. Install and activate Divi Mega Menu.
  2. Run quick start: Create a mega menu, assign it, and preview it.
  3. Create, assign, and style in more detail.
  4. Configure site settings: header type, Ajax Loaded, and mobile behavior.
  5. Use module references: Mega Drop-down, Mega Tabs, and Tab.

Verify this stage​

You are ready to continue when:

  • Divi Engine → Mega Menu lists mega menus.
  • The Visual Builder module picker includes a Divi Mega Menu folder (Divi 5).
  • You know whether you will assign from the mega menu screen or from Appearance → Menus.
