Divi 5 Migration Tool

Divi 5

Use this tool before Divi’s built-in Divi 5 migrator when you have existing BodyCommerce or Machine loop layouts.

When to use it

Run the BodyCommerce Divi 5 Migration Tool if you are moving a store from Divi 4 to Divi 5 and your layouts still use older Archive Loop, title, or thumbnail shortcodes. The tool unifies those names and removes Archive Loop attributes that Divi 5 cannot convert, so layouts are more likely to migrate instead of remaining as raw shortcode text.

Before you start

  1. Back up the database. This action cannot be undone.
  2. Keep a staging copy of the site if you can.

How to run it

  1. Go to Divi Engine and select Divi BodyCommerce.
  2. Open Divi 5 Migration Tool under Site-wide.
  3. Read the shortcode list on the screen.
  4. Click Start Migration.
  5. Note any Removed to allow Divi 5 migration attributes in the result.
  6. Update to Divi 5 (if you have not already).
  7. Run the Divi 5 migrator.
  8. Re-open affected layouts and restore any Archive Loop design settings that were stripped.

Shortcodes that are updated

The tool maps legacy names such as:

  • [et_pb_de_mach_archive_loop][et_pb_db_filter_loop]
  • [et_pb_de_mach_title][et_pb_df_title]
  • [et_pb_db_product_title][et_pb_df_title]
  • [et_pb_de_mach_thumbnail][et_pb_df_thumbnail]
  • [et_pb_db_shop_thumbnail][et_pb_df_thumbnail]
  • [et_pb_db_shop_loop][et_pb_db_filter_loop]

The list in the hub is the source of truth if it differs from this page.

After migration

  • Shop and archive grids on Divi 5 typically use Archive Loop (bundled Ajax Filter) or Loop Builder, not the old ARP Product Loop name.
  • Re-enable pagination, columns, and loop layout options in the Divi 5 Archive Loop module if they were removed.
