First setup with presets
Goal
Get a stable Nitro baseline in minutes using Performance Presets, then fine-tune.

Prerequisites
- Install and license Divi Nitro
- Read Prepare your website (especially the one page cache rule)
Steps
1. Open Nitro Settings
Go to Divi Engine → Nitro Settings.
2. Check Performance Insights
Open Performance Insights. Note any competing cache plugin tips.
3. Apply a preset
| If… | Choose |
|---|---|
| You want the safest start | Safe |
| No other HTML page cache is active | Balanced |
| Another page cache (LiteSpeed, Rocket, etc.) is active | Safe or Balanced (Page Cache will stay off) — see competing plugins |
| You already tested Balanced successfully | Consider Aggressive on staging first |
4. Clear caches
Clear Nitro minify/Page Cache (if on), Divi CSS cache, and any host/plugin cache.
5. Test logged out
Check homepage, shop/cart/checkout (if used), Ajax Filter pages, forms, and membership/locked pages in an incognito window.
6. Fine-tune
- Enable Page Cache only if no other HTML cache is active
- Add minify queues gradually with Smart Minify
- Turn on Delay JavaScript only after the site is stable
