Spam Management
Purpose
Use Spam Management to review spam protection metrics and run targeted cleanup actions for flagged or confirmed spam entries.
Prerequisites
- Spam protection is enabled and has generated tracking data.
- Open Reports -> Data Management -> Spam Management.
- Confirm moderation policy before mass actions.
Metrics shown
- Blocked by Protection total with last reset context.
- Flagged for Review total needing moderation.
- Confirmed Spam total ready for deletion.
- Breakdown badges by protection method (honeypot, reCAPTCHA, calculation, time-based, question-based).
Available actions
- Delete Confirmed Spam: permanently removes entries marked as confirmed spam.
- Clear Flagged Entries: marks flagged entries as clean.
- Reset Protection Counters: resets blocked spam counters to zero.
Each action opens a confirmation modal before execution.
Recommended workflow
- Review current metric cards and breakdown badges.
- Clear or confirm flagged entries based on moderation review.
- Delete confirmed spam in batches.
- Reset counters only when you intentionally want a fresh baseline.
Verification checklist
- Action buttons enable only when relevant counts are above zero.
- Success message appears after each action.
- Metric cards update immediately after refresh.
- Flagged/confirmed totals reflect expected changes.
Common issues and limits
- Counts not changing: refresh data and verify action succeeded.
- No breakdown badges: no blocked events recorded for those methods yet.
- Reset counters does not delete entries; it only resets tracking totals.
- Deleting confirmed spam is permanent.
What's Next
- Manage entries for broader filtered deletion.
- Form entries to review and moderate individual records.
- Spam protection to tune prevention settings.
