Adding a Membership Plan

Introduction

To manage access to content on your Divi-powered website, create a structured membership plan. This guide walks you through setting up a plan in Divi Membership: basic setup, billing cycles, and content access rules.

Add a Membership Plan

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Divi Memberships in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click Add New Membership at the top of the page to define a new plan.

Configure Your Membership Plan

Title and Description

  1. Enter a clear title for the plan (e.g. Beginner, Basic, Standard, or Pro).
  2. Use the description area to outline what the plan includes so prospective members understand benefits and features.

Billing Cycles

  1. Give the cycle a title.
  2. Choose One-time, Recurring, or Free.
  3. Select how often billing occurs (e.g. monthly, annually) and the duration.
  4. Enter the regular price and, if applicable, a sale price.
  5. Add a description and format for displaying the cycle (e.g. $10/1 Month).
  6. Click the + icon to add more billing options if needed.

Free trials (duration and “require payment upfront”) are configured in Settings > Free Trials and apply per billing cycle.

Members

The Members section lists current subscribers; users are added automatically after signup. You can manually add or remove users here.

Content Access

  1. In Content Access, specify which categories, tags, and content types this plan can access.
  2. Type shows the post types and taxonomies enabled in Settings > Content Restriction. Select which to include in this plan.
  3. Click + to add rules (e.g. “All” for full access to a type, or specific items).
  4. Use Title to allow “All” or restrict to particular items.

Membership Item Module

The features you list here are available in the Membership Item module so you can display plan features on your site.

Finalize Your Membership Plan

  1. Review all sections for accuracy and completeness.
  2. Click Save Changes to save the plan.

Additional Tips

  1. Clear communication — Use clear titles and descriptions so members know what they get with their subscription.
  2. Flexible billing — Offering multiple billing cycles (e.g. monthly and yearly) caters to a broader audience.
  3. Strategic content access — Plan which content is available at each level to maintain exclusivity and value.
  4. Regular updates — Keep plans and features up to date so offerings stay appealing.
tip

Always save your settings before moving to the next configuration step to avoid losing changes.
