Profile

Divi 5

Acc Edit Account and Acc Profile are Divi 5 modules. Profile field settings are the same on Divi 5 and Divi 4.

Members edit their own details on the Profile account page. You can also show a public version of that profile on a listing or an author page.

Profile does not have an off switch. The Profile account post stays in the menu when it is published.

Choose the fields​

  1. Go to Divi Engine > Divi Machine Account > Profile.
  2. Set Largest photo size. The default is 2048 KB.
  3. Leave Show email on the public profile off unless email should be public.
  4. For Photo, Bio, Phone, Company, Website, and Location, set Enabled, Required, and Public.
  5. Save.

Enabled lets the member edit the field. Required blocks save until it is filled in. Public allows it on the public profile.

Name, email, and password are edited on the form itself. They are not in this field list.

Let members edit their account​

Activation already places Acc Edit Account on the Profile account post.

  1. Open Account > Profile > Edit with Divi.
  2. Confirm Acc Edit Account.
  3. Choose whether to show account details, profile fields, and password fields.
  4. Set Field columns. With two columns, the current password sits on its own row and the new passwords sit side by side. Photo and Bio stay full width.
  5. Save, log in as a member, and open the Profile page in the account area.

The form includes Visible to other members. When a member turns that off, other members cannot see the profile or find them in Messages. Conversations they already have stay open.

Show a public profile​

  1. Edit the listing template, or the author template, in the Visual Builder.
  2. Add Acc Profile.
  3. Set Profile source to Author of the current post on a listing, or Author archive on an author template.
  4. Leave Fields to show blank to show every public field.
  5. Save and view a listing whose author has a public profile.

In the builder, the module shows sample photo, name, and field values so you can style it before a real member is loaded.
